This was an unusual module in so far as the assessment was an interview. In preparation for the interview it made me very aware of what I had achieved up until I started the course and made me focus on what I wanted to get out of it.<\/p>\n
The reading were very good and I found myself surprisingly interested in\u00a0An avalanche is coming (Barber et al, 2013) which argued many points but I found it fascinating, click here<\/a> to see reflection. Another interesting reading was Prensky (2001) digital Natives, Digital Immigrants which argued that digital literacy is not linked to the year a person was born.<\/p>\n For the interview I had to bring an artifact that was important to me and my learning. I am a scout leader and brought my wood beads, which is a sign of training completed, and explained that when you complete the formal training you know where you have to start. I reference this to online badges as a reward for achievement.<\/p>\n All in all this was a good module which really focussed thought on where I was coming from and where I wanted to go which allowed me to identify the gap in between. \u00a0This tied into\u00a0Lev Vygotskys Zone of Proximal Development (ZPD) which we covered in the Learning Theories Module, see reflection<\/a> from week 2.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Barber M., Donnelly K., Rizvi S.
