{"id":143,"date":"2013-10-15T15:11:04","date_gmt":"2013-10-15T15:11:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.hughmclain.ie\/ePortfolioDIT\/?p=143"},"modified":"2013-10-15T15:11:04","modified_gmt":"2013-10-15T15:11:04","slug":"learning-theories-week-5-15-oct-2013","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.hughmclain.ie\/ePortfolioDIT\/?p=143","title":{"rendered":"Learning Theories Week 5 (15 Oct 2013)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>During this session of the Learning Theories module we were given the opportunity to give a 10 minute presentation on how we are going to tackle the assignment for the module.<\/p>\n<p>I put forward my plan for the assignment explaining that I do not have any professional experience that I can base it on so I am using my experience as a Scout Leader and training Youth Members.<\/p>\n<p>I will be going into some detail about Behaviourism, Constructivism,\u00a0Constructionist\u00a0and Communities of Practice. Through feedback to me and other I have identified a couple of other new authors I can read to get such as Bersin, Salmon, Moules, Goslin, Kimble, Tennant and Bonk.<\/p>\n<p>I will need to read into Knowles Pedagogy vs Andragogy and that the latter applies only to adults. In this case I believe that it Andragogy can be applied from the age of 13 years old.<\/p>\n<p>There is a blend of styles used in the Scout Troop from Behaviourism through Cognitivism and\u00a0Constructivism\u00a0up to Social Constructivism.
