Nielsen developed the heuristics based on work together with Rolf Molich in 1990.<sup><a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Heuristic_evaluation#cite_note-multiple-1\">[1]<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Heuristic_evaluation#cite_note-2\">[2]<\/a><\/sup> The final set of heuristics that are still used today were released by Nielsen in 1994.<sup><a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Heuristic_evaluation#cite_note-3\">[3] <\/a><\/sup>The evaluation Tool evaluates 10 properties:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Visibility of system status<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Match between system and the real world<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>User control and freedom<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Consistency and standards<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Error prevention<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Recognition rather than recall<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Flexibility and efficiency of use<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Aesthetic and minimalist design<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Help users recognize, diagnose, and recover from errors<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Help and documentation<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h1><strong>References<\/strong><\/h1>\n<ol>\n<li>Nielsen, J., and Molich, R.
